GNOME's 'Backups' program (PATH:- Trisquel Main Menu › System Settings › Backups) suggest 'Windows Share' as one of the options in 'Storage location' Tab.
Correct me if I am wrong, 'Windows Share' is a cloud storage service provided by Microsoft. If that is the case, this is a serious design flaw, and compromise with user's privacy.
Please do not suggest untrusty cloud based services to store user data and backups.
No, it is not a cloud service by Microsoft. It's a networking protocol that Windows has support for, but also GNU/Linux or *BSD using Samba.
