on a default install of trisquel-mini (have confirmed myself on two different systems) the lxrandr application (aka "Monitor Settings"") fails to run with error "Unable to get monitor information!"
this is due to missing 'x11-xserver-utils' package - installing this package (and its deps) allows lxrandr to run and operate
$ sudo apt-get install x11-xserver-utils
. . . .
The following NEW packages will be installed:
cpp cpp-4.8 libcloog-isl4 libisl10 libmpc3 libmpfr4 x11-xserver-utils
. . . .
I've confirmed this is true with a base install of Trisquel Mini. Clicking on Trisquel->Preferences->Monitor Settings returns an error "Unable to get monitor information!"
also after installing `x11-xserver-utils` - resolution changes were not being restored on reboot - after i installed some more packages this started working - i am not sure tho which one did the trick
Thank You, I had the same Problem. Now it works.
I will repost it in the German Forum, it might be helpful to others.
