Description
1) Today I noticed at the top of the update manager that there's a new release. I hit upgrade but was greeted with
I hit the upgrade button stubbornly again and this time it worked.
2) This dialog could use some indicator of download speed/remaining time estimate. Would be especially good for us with slower connections.
3) The release notes could use some other style for headers IMHO
4) I ended up not doing the update at this time since it would've taken so long and instead I cancelled it. Then I noticed the update applet on the panel and decided to point my cursor at it. Surprise:
(After clicking it there were actually 4 updates there. I installed them and away it went.)
1) Probably a connection error.
2) We use the updater from Ubuntu, just rebranded and removed any piece which would lead to non-free software installation. We -and them, I'm sure- would accept a patch with that functionality.
3) Only ascii is supported, see 2)
4) Looks like the updater was still updating its package lists upon cancellation.
Thanks for the information and suggestions. I see no bugs really, so I'm closing this one.
