I have package management set to automatically install security updates.
I just noticed that there was the updates available icon on my panel and I clicked it to install the said updates. Then I'm required to input my password but was greeted with this error message So the updates were not installed and the icon notifying me of the updates remained there for me to guess when it might work. And it certainly worked after waiting a while and doing one more failed attempt in between...
This annoying hassle could have been avoided altogether if the updates available icon hadn't been there as long as the package manager was installing the security updates. Or perhaps the user initiated operation could have been automagically postponed until the security updates had been installed.
