Color artifacts

Description

Some weird color artifacts occured after a month of using Trisquel. It probably get started after some uncontrolled shutdown. Artifacts are visible on the screenshots. They react to mouse movement, as they appear and disappear again. Start menu is also affected, but screenshot doesnt work while menu is opened.

Yet another photo depicting the problem:
I forgot to mention: Problem doesn't exist with Troubleshooting Boot (no GPU drivers I believe, 800x600 screen and so on). Rebooting does not help.

Trisquel 8.0 support ended in April 2021.
Please open a new issue in case it remains on the current supported release.
