"8.4.11-0ubuntu0.11.04" -> that's for Trisquel 5.0 "Dagda", which is based upon Ubuntu 11.04 "Natty".
In Trisquel 5.5 "Brigantia", postgresql-client is "9.1.3-0ubuntu0.11.10". Here, its installation went fine.
