Change GRUB background image

Project:Trisquel
Version:6.0
Component:Misc
Category:task
Priority:minor
Assigned:Unassigned
Status:closed
Description

Currently grub background is set to image from Trisquel 5.5, but image format is not compatible with grub. (/usr/share/backgrounds/trisquel-grub.png)

I think there should be a new image, but if not, present image should be fixed.

If someone wants to enable the old image do the following.

In terminal type:
gksudo gimp /usr/share/backgrounds/trisquel-grub.png

File > Save As... > Save > Replace

Uncheck all checkboxes (didn't test individualy)

Save

Edit: Changed sudo to gksudo. Thanks for the tip!

Thanks :-) A tip: for graphical applications, it's better to use "gksudo" instead of "sudo": https://help.ubuntu.com/community/RootSudo#Graphical_sudo .
