I have upgraded from 5.5 to 6.0, and I have lost my battery icon. If I go into my power settings, the "show battery status in the menu bar" setting is blank. I have tried changing it to "Whenever battery is present" and the icon still does not show up.
If I exit power settings and open it back up again, my setting is back to being blank.
This is on a netbook, so the battery is always present. Also, the battery meter seems to work on the power screen, and I do still get low battery noitfications, I just have no battery in my status bar.
I've attached screenshots of both my status bar and my settings screen.
You need to do ALT+Super and right-click an empty space on the panel, and click Add to Panel. Then add the "Indicator Applet" to the panel.
I believe this is fixed by a Trisquel update. Can you confirm if this bug is still present for you?
Hmm, I will probably have to test a 5.5->6.0 upgrade to confirm if this bug is present. I've modified the title to reflect the bug.
