This page briefly summarizes the list of pending tasks for the project. If you want to add your ideas to this list please use the "suggestions" section at the bottom, do not change the other sections without consulting.

Web

• Finish testing and publish the planet
  • Add more feeds

• Add a Packages section (Complete)
  • Each package entry would include a description, screenshots, reviews and (maybe) ratings (Complete)
  • Build upon Drupal content types with cck+views

• Improve the addons web
  • replace the xpi link with the addon id number at mozilla.org, to automate and simplify our list.

• Add support for user blogs
  • Personalized header image
  • Individual feeds

• Improve the forum
  • editor, smileys, citation, etc... Make it more "phpBBish".

• Add an artwork section
  • it should support image and tarball upload

• Add a "screenshots" section to the user profiles

• Improve the wiki support
  • Make sure duplicate title pages work for different languages

Trisquel 4.0 Taranis

• Finish the i18n DVD (Complete)
  • Make the new FSF membercard by adding inkscape, blender and the advocacy package. (done). For an .iso image see here.
• Make TOAST4, Trisquel edu 4 and Trisquel pro 4 .isos.

Distro improvements

• Welcome screen like the Linux Mint one
• Advocacy texts for the installer

• Request a lot more mirrors

Community

• Join other communities and social networks, both freedom oriented (e.g. gNewBook) and general (e.g. Facebook).
  • Add "like it, reddit, tweet..." buttons to nodes
• Have 100 Associate Members (41/100 as of October 1st 2011)

Suggestions

• (m3tti) Getting Drupal to work properly! Cleaning up the i18n support (maybe) setting up a new test server and port it back to the main one later.

• (m3tti) adding the awesome 4 lines patch for cgroups that does excactly the same as the 200 lines code in kernel 2.6.37. Here is also an automated script.

• (SirGrant) Create a publicity team. Their job would be to publicize Trisquel so bring in new users and developers.

• Create installation guides for each supported version (currently 2.2.2, 4.0.1, and 4.5.1.) and each edition (Desktop, edu, pro, mini, netinstall)
