This goal of this manual is to help provide users with tools to remain anonymous if they wish.
Anonymity Software
- GNUnet is a secure, trust-based peer-to-peer framework. A first service implemented on top of the networking layer allows anonymous censorship-resistant file-sharing.
- Tor is free software and an open network that helps you defend against a form of network surveillance that threatens personal freedom and privacy, confidential business activities and relationships, and state security known as traffic analysis. Tor won the 2010 Free Software Foundation's Award for Projects of Social Benefit
- I2P (Invisible Internet Project) is a software to run and use the I2P darknet. It is isolated from the clear net (Internet). It allow do to many things: hosting hidden web site, file sharing, tchat, forums, emails, ... All that inside I2P (and only inside i2P).
- Kovri is a free, decentralized, anonymity technology developed by Monero. A lightweight and security-focused router, Kovri is fully compatible with the I2P network.
