Audio editor
This documentation covers some audio editors available for Trisquel. However it is possible to edit audio files in a huge DAW, but only software that mainly are described as audio editors are listed here. Depending on your needs, you have different options.
Audacity
Audacity is a multi-track audio editor. It is designed for easy recording, playing and editing of digital audio.

Sweep
Sweep is an audio editor and live playback tool. It supports many music and voice formats including WAV, AIFF, Ogg Vorbis, Speex and MP3, with multichannel editing and GLADSPA effect plugins.
Snd
Snd is a powerful sound file editor that can be customized and extended using the Scheme programming language, a dialect of the Lisp family of programming languages.
Install Snd
There are several options to install Snd
- snd (metapackage) Depends on all packages below, including snd-common
- snd-gui-jack - Sound file editor (graphical user interface - JACK)
- snd-gui-pulse - Sound file editor (graphical user interface - PulseAudio)
- snd-nox - Sound file editor (cmdline)
If you are not sure which to install, choose snd

Audacity, Sweep and Snd are all available in the official Trisquel repositories.
