h-node
h-node
h-node is a hardware database on what hardware works and does not work with free software operating systems like Trisquel. You can use h-node to check if your hardware will work before actually trying to use it. This is very useful when you are thinking about buying new hardware like printers for example.
Your hardware may not be listed on h-node yet, so if you install or try Trisquel (or any other fully free operating system), please contribute your data on your hardware you use to h-node, so other free software users know what kind of hardware to choose and which one to avoid.
h-node has automated functionality which allows you to quickly and easily find out what kind of hardware you have and if some of it is missing from h-node. h-node also has good documentation on how to add new hardware to the database.
