Installing Unity
Unity is a desktop environment based on gnome shell produced by Canonical. The installation of unity on Trisquel is very easy. One must only install the packages unity-2d and gnome-session. When presented with the login screen, the option to choose ubuntu-2d will be found in the drop-down menu on the bottom left.
sudo apt-get install unity-2d gnome-session
