Libreboot flashing GUI Take 2

I have decided to try again in making a GUI for installing Libreboot,
to try and make sure it goes well this time I think it would be best if I could work with someone else on it
if possible.
as this way the project is likely to stay more organised and should improve efficiency.
the main things I could offer are:
access to Libreboot compatible machines
C/C++/Lua/HTML/CSS/Basic Gtk+/Basic Qt/SDL2/ability to learn
good GNU/Linux knowlage
if anyone is interesting in working with me on this please email me here:
name at domain
Great to see you're coming back to this project. What sort of help are you expecting? :)
Other links for reference:
* Original thread: https://trisquel.info/en/forum/i-am-making-gui-libreboot-flashing-utility
* Source code repo: https://notabug.org/tomlukeywood/Libreboot_Flashing_Utility
well, Tom I wish you good luck with the project and urge you to keep it up. If you need help with translations or something a non-programmer can do just tell me.
"What sort of help are you expecting? :)"
I think the reason why the project failed last time was due to bad design choices and as I was inexperienced in certain tools mainly Gtk+.
so I am looking for someone that preferably has experience making medium sized programs who could make sure that everything goes smoothly.
I guess I’m looking for a project manager.
There's a redditor potentially interested: https://www.reddit.com/r/linux/comments/3td8gx/developer_creating_a_gui_for_libreboot_seeks/
Get in contact with this person, maybe she/he can help :)
Hi,
I'm interested. Computer engineering undergraduate with basic experience in C and Qt. I've got a Thinkpad X200 with libreboot on it we can test with.
What scope are you thinking? A general interface to edit the .rom files and then automate the flashrom utility?
I'll grab a copy of the code and play with it when I get a spare moment from classes.

That would be great!

yes basically a program that graphically automates how you would install Libreboot from a command line
and we could also add features like changing the grub background etc later.
I think it would be better from now on if people replied to this post instead of emailing me to keep things organised.
Sorry for the confusion.
I have now decided that the program will be developed in QT and C++
so these skills along with knowledge about libreboot/coreboot would be very usefull.
UPDATE:
there have been 2 people so far interested and 2 inquiring,
did not expect this many people willing to help!
so the next stage should be starting and organising
should we start a git repo?
That's probably a good idea. NotABug.org?
ok I have created another post stating the situation with the project hopefully in a more clear way:
I think one person who should help is Francis. After all, he has the most experience with libreboot.
That would also make his life easier, as well as everyone else. Helping to make a GUI for this process would prove that he has the best intentions and the accusations of "price by monopoly" that arise in another thread were unfounded.
So, Francis, are you gonna help?
