I installed Trisquel Mini using Netinstall and a USB stick.

Grub failed with a fatal error. Solution: remove the USB stick as it is /dev/sda.

LXDE Monitor Settings wouldn't open "Unable to get monitor information!". Solution: install some more packages.

Screen brightness was full blast and couldn't be adjusted. Solution CLI command.

Installed Xfce 4.12 (PPA). No wired network indicator in the panel. Solution: edit 'Exec' line in /etc/xdg/autostart/nm-applet.desktop to 'dbus-launch nm-applet'.

The rant link is broken. Cannot edit my first post. Here's the working link.

"Solution: remove the USB stick from which you are installing Debian. Right now it’s /dev/sda and the target hard drive you’re trying to install to is /dev/sdb (during the installation process only)."

I love classic Macintosh theme, buttons, windows. But hate today MacOSX look.
