Torrents from here http://devel.trisquel.info/makeiso/iso/
Tracker gave an error "Requested download is not authorized for use with this tracker."
Doh! Sorry https://trisquel.info/en/forum/trisquel-7-will-be-released-next-week
Note that the torrents are not yet active in the tracker, until the
official release.
If your BitTorrent client is capable of DHT then you might be able to
find peers, depending on whether someone else with the file is online.
The web seeds don't appear to be working at this point.
I have the file but I only seed it when my home computer is online. I
suspect others might start seeding it soon as well.
Andrew.
How is it possible to get the torrent in order to seed it in the first place? I'd gladly seed 24/7 from my Raspberry Pi.
EDIT: apparently downloading the iso and then pointing the torrent to use that as the data does the trick.

Depends on your BitTorrent client. For me I did this:
1. Downloaded the torrent and added it to Transmission
2. Downloaded the ISO over HTTP (through wget)
3. Copied the ISO to my Downloads folder where the torrent was set to
download
4. Clicked "Verify Local Data" on the torrent in Transmission.
Andrew.
My next question is how to enable DHT. Transmission supports magnet links and I feel like that has something to do with DHT.
I just started the torrent on my Pi and it seems to be downloading even though the warning "not authorized for use with this tracker" stays visible.

Most BitTorrent clients enable DHT by default. If you can't use DHT,
however, you might be able to set the torrent to use public trackers (I
am using public trackers right now so you might be able to connect to me):
udp://tracker.openbittorrent.com:80
udp://tracker.publicbt.com:80
udp://tracker.istole.it:6969
udp://open.demonii.com:1337

That is, if you are downloading the standard amd64 ISO as I'm not
seeding anything else yet.

I forgot to mention that DHT doesn't have a lot to do with magnet links.
If you're using DHT your client will connect to peers in order to find
peers that have a particular torrent.
Magnet URIs contain a hash of a torrent (an infohash) and some often
other parameters such as what trackers you can connect to. When you use
a magnet URI you eventually get the larger torrent file which allows you
to download and verify the integrity of the download.
Andrew
Hello,
Why some files have "FSF" in the name ?
In this folder http://devel.trisquel.info/makeiso/iso/
Thanks
This is the FSF membership card that ships with a rebranded Trisquel (http://www.fsf.org/associate/benefits)
