Liferea-1.10.3, which comes preinstalled on Trisquel 7.0, by default allows the user to open links in nonfree browsers such as Konqueror.
Steps:
1. Open Lifefrea
2. Go to Tools>Preferences and then to the Browser tab
3. Under External Browser settings there is a drop down menu listed as "Browser:" There it will list the nonfree software.
Konqueror freedom issues:

I have made a patch that should be able to close this issue.
The patch needs review.
Konqueror is free software. It does have some references to nonfree plugins that the Trisquel project would want to remove. Make a package helper for #6007: [GFSD Issue] Package konqueror recommends the use of nonfree software instead. It should be straightforward; Parabola has patches:

EDIT: formatting
I agree with Legimet, it is better to fix the issue in konqueror/kdelibs. I've added new helpers for that here https://devel.trisquel.info/trisquel/package-helpers/commit/dc4fcb0efbf092128488d21586587bb50f6dd762
