This page presents some easy ways to improve Abrowser/IceCat's integration with KDE.
kmozillahelper
OpenSUSE has created a few patches for Firefox to enhance the experience when using KDE. These enhancements include using KDE file dialogs and (more importantly) using the default application configured in KDE when opening files.
Trisquel now includes these patches in Abrowser. All that is needed to utilize them is the helper program kmozillahelper, which can be installed with:
$ sudo apt-get install mozilla-kde-support
Native Look and Feel
The
Oxygen-Gtk theme provides a native look and feel for GTK+ apps if you are using the Oxygen widget theme. A patched version of the theme that properly supports Abrowser should soon be available in Trisquel.
KWallet Integration for Passwords
The addon
KDE Wallet Password Integration can be installed to make Abrowser/IceCat use KWallet to store passwords instead of the default password manager.
