Background stopped loading, now just a grey screen

I had the same problem. Here is what I did to get my wallpaper back.
Go system settings -> tweak tool -> desktop, make sure that Icons on Desktop is on.
I don't know why, but if I turn it off, on restart, background turns gray.

I refuse to keep my icons up though! Simply switching it on and off again did fix it though. Thanks again!

For some reason after a recent update and reboot, trisquel is no longer
loading my background image. It's just a solid grey screen now.

I went to the System Settings -> Background and it clearly shows the picture
I've chosen, but it's not loading.

I'm assuming this is just a trisquel bug that will work itself out. =/
