I'm sure that this issue has been dealt with before but I can't find it anywhere on the web site directly, the only thing that occurs to me is that I might need to change parameters but I'm not sure how to figure out which ones and just trying a few didn't help.

Every time I try to boot from a CD the options as far as how to boot come up, that menu, and the graphics; but when you select an image there is an error as stated in the subject line.

Help would be appreciated.

Check that your .iso file is good. Use the checksum to check this.
