Can someone help me compare the differences with each of these laptops?

- Lenovo ThinkPad X60/X60s
- Lenovo ThinkPad X60 Tablet
- Lenovo ThinkPad T60
- Lenovo ThinkPad X200
- Lenovo ThinkPad R400
- Lenovo ThinkPad R500
- Lenovo ThinkPad T400
- Lenovo ThinkPad T500

I see many of these models listed on eBay. I want to buy one, flash the bios with libreboot and use my main computer.

Add Lenovo ThinkPad T420 to the list; it's working fine with Trisquel 7. All that it needed was Think Penguin's USB wifi dongle. I haven't tried libreboot yet, though. The eBay sales prices are about the same as what I paid Micro Center for a refurbished one with Windows 7 installed (since squished into a corner on the original hard drive). I've also prepared two USB-connected external hard drives with Trisquel 7 on them (and no sign of any remnant MS OS) that I can use with the T420 with the aid of grub.

Libreboot is not yet compatible with the T420 :<

I'm no expert on this, but I think the CPUs available for the T420 are in the category of CPUs that simply cannot be made to work with Libreboot. If I'm right on this, the T420 will never get Libreboot support.

I am pretty sure if the processors are more recent than Intel Core 2 Duo
then it won't work (i.e. Intel Core I3).

For the record, there are a lot of computers that will work with Trisquel. Heck, working with Trisquel without working WiFi is quite common, and a very low bar! All of the computers in our house qualify by those criteria.

This is the list of laptops that can have the bios flashed with libreboot.

amenex was suggesting one that doesn't work with Libreboot.

To everybody else: Libreboot? Not with a hole in most people's ar**s.
