https://trisquel.info/en/forum/how-troubleshoot-inconsistent-printer-problems was a discussion in February of 2025. Legimet helped me with advise on getting the scanner in it to work.
After a recent reinstall of Trisquel 12 the system does see my printer but there is no driver for it in CUPS. I did obtain what appears to be the best hope, probably from Epson - epson-inkjet-printer-escpr-1.8.9-1.src.rpm.
I've got to get this printer going again so any ideas would be appreciated. I searched packages.trisquel.org but the gateway timed out every time trying to conduct a search.
Would it be feasible to convert an .rpm to a .deb? I read a bit about Alien. Would that work?
This printer is really cool. The printers I have had in the past sort of wore me out running to the store for more expensive ink all the time and this eco-tank hasn't yet run out and I have a large backup supply of ink for it.
Was the printer working on Trisquel 12 before you re-installed it? If so, do you have a backup of the files from before the re-installation?
Jacob K, I'm not sure if it worked in 12 but I do not have a backup.

There is a package named "printer-driver-escpr" at version 1.7.17-4build2. For a more recent version (1.8.7-1), you can download a .deb from Ubuntu 26.04's repository: https://packages.ubuntu.com/resolute/amd64/printer-driver-escpr/download
I must apologize, Jacob, for my terrible memory. I used Aramo since it came out and had a HP printer via usb that worked fine but then I decided to replace it with this one. I think I got it working in 12 but am not sure. I am trying to dual boot a new to me PC and having some difficulty accomplishing that, so hence there has been some installs and reinstalls with various OSes, Trisquel and MXLinux being the last setup. Still working on that task.
