Fluxbox problem

Hi,
I installed Fluxbox with synaptic and when I log into Fluxbox, I get the regular Fluxbox menu, just once. Then, after I choose a program and it loads up, then when I minimize it, the background looks like Gnome and I can't the Fluxbox menu back when I right click. I have to do a ctrl-alt-del and then I get back to another login screen where I can get back to Gnome.
How do I make Fluxbox work properly?
I too think this sounds like Nautilus. If Dolphin proves too heavy (some KDE progs tend to) there's pcmanfm and probably others.

Thanks guys! Is there a way to get e-mails when somebody answers me? Do I need to mark this solved, somehow? So, Nautilus will be fine for use when I'm in Gnome and I don't need to uninstall it? I just shouldn't use it with Fluxbox?
