Hi, Skype has a feature known as share desktop or share screen. With that feature the person to the other side can see the things you are doing in real time.
I want to know if there is a free software that can offer that feature.

Thanks.

I think Jitsi Desktop supports that... but I'm not 100% sure.

I didn't say Jitsi Meet, now did I? I said Jitsi Desktop. You know, the desktop program that uses Jingle or SIP.

I installed Jitsy Desktop and have not that feature. Teamviewer (Propietary) allow to control the remote PC. That feature would be useful for me
too.

? That's not possible with any communication protocol. If you're looking for remote desktop access, then you should be using VNC or similar. Some VNC clients include Remmina, Vinagre, and TightVNC (xtightvncviewer); servers include vino, x11vnc, and TightVNC (tightvncserver).

There's other remote desktop protocols, but I think VNC is the most common.

Remmina is only for GNU/Linux, Vinagre the same and TightVNC has an old version that works with gnu/linux and winddows 95/98/ME, Windows NT 4.0. I need to control a remote desktop at windows 10 from Trisquel. What can I do?

...And?

So... don't use the legacy version. Use the current version.

And then use any of the client options I mentioned on Trisquel.

You do know all of these programs are using the exact same protocol, right? Just like how all XMPP clients, email clients, etc are using the exact same protocol? You don't have to use the exact same program on both systems.

TightVNC is the VNC program I'd recommend on Windows.

Thanks, I finally used Remmina on Trisquel and TigerVNC on Windows.

My understanding is that you should be able to connect to any VNC server using any VNC client. The latest version of TightVNC server "runs basically on any version of Windows": https://www.tightvnc.com/faq.php#OS

You may prefer its fork, TigerVNC: https://tigervnc.org/
