harvesting emaill addresses from my archives

I have just located in some old backups some old old mail archives.
Browsing through them would be a pain in the rear. So I have a need for
some Icedove extension that could parse the newly added folders and fill
up an addressbook with what it finds.
Do you know anything that can do the job?

The relevant piece of information would be the format of your emails...
