Hello,
so my problem is, I just installed Trisquel and I do not know anything about Linux yet but I just wanted to support this great project! So my problem is, that I just cannot connect it to the Wifi. When I click on the network button on the bottom right-hand site of the screen and then on edit I can click add and then I would have to fill in a thing. How can I scan for a network connection and just type my password? Help me I am so lost right now haha :D especially because I deleted my Windows 10 for Trisquel and now I cannot access the internet on my Notebook :O help me pleaseeee

Your wifi card may not be supported by Trisquel, as Trisquel by its very nature of being free software (as in freedom), does not permit software that is non-free (as in imprisoning) - including some wifi drivers.
It MAY be possible to get your wifi card working, but this is an ethical issue for some here to assist in this.
If you don't know if it is, open up a terminal and type in
lspci -v
and scroll through the returned results until you find your wifi card. You can run a search on your wifi card and it may be supported. Ubuntu forums are probably the best place to look. If it is, it's then your choice whether you would like to install software that does not respect your freedom, or consider buying hardware run with free software e.g. https://www.thinkpenguin.com/catalog/wireless-networking-gnulinux
And sometimes the drivers may be free but functionality would require a firmware that is not free...
In such cases if the hardware does not function at all the only way is to get another piece that can be operated in freedom or if the hardware works partly one has to decide whether it is tolerable in which case it will be used as is or if not tolerable, then again another part has to be acquired.

I have got this ( http://www.amazon.com/Edimax-EW-7811Un-150Mbps-Raspberry-Supports/dp/B003MTTJOY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1451304195&sr=8-1&keywords=edimax+wireless ) and on the amayon page it says that it is working with linux but it is not.... why...
It may work with Linux as that kernel contains binary only blobs. Trisquel uses Linux-libre which consists solely of proper free software.
You probably need to get another wifi card that can be operated in freedom, e.g. https://www.fsf.org/resources/hw/endorsement/respects-your-freedom

Please just give me a step-to-step instruction :) I would love to keep Trisquel but if I can't connect my Laptop to the Wifi it is completely useless :/
You would help me so much :)
Sorry that no one seems to be helping you! We don't want you to leave. It was very brave that you deleted windows from your PC in favor of Trisquel.
Perhaps the above answers were too indirect. If you want a step-by-step solution, here's one.
1. Go to the following page: https://www.thinkpenguin.com/gnu-linux/penguin-wireless-n-usb-adapter-gnu-linux-tpe-n150usb
2. Order the adapter ($25) and wait for it to arrive.
3. Return the adapter you purchased from amazon.
4. Plug the new adapter into your computer. It will be immediately recognized and you will be able to connect in the expected way.
That's it! If you want a long range adapter, it can be found on the same site.
This is all assuming your current adapter is incompatible - first make sure that is the case!
> ($25)
44.00 USD.
Or is there a christmassy offer I am not aware of?
You can also replace the internal wifi adapter with an Atheros one (maybe).
The price varies by region. It's $25 in the U.S.
Apparently, the listed price in Europe includes VAT, so that's one of the factors in the price being higher. I don't know what other factors may be at play, if any.
I see. 25 bucks is a very decent price for that dongle.

In the mean time, you can use the Ethernet connection (i.e., through a cable).
Probably, but possibly not. A laptop my brother used to own had an Ethernet card that required proprietary firmware.
