Yes, it's good to help invalidate patents. At the same time, though, it's kinda like a game of Whack-A-Mole where other patents come up and need work. While it's good to help invalidate patents to some extent it's almost more worthwhile to help on excluding software from being patent-eligible in the first place. That said, don't stop trying to invalidate them, but be aware there's more to do than just this.
Invalidating won't work for "perfectly valid, non-obvious and novel"
patents like the one on RSA

to abolish patents.
(Patents don't always hinder innovation: they can lead to the invention
of new bad ways to handle solved problems, like the weak random number
generator in http://smartfacts.cr.yp.to/analysis.html. It's a
"hardware" RNG, so making software nonpatentable isn't enough to prevent
it.)
