I am looking to install KDE5 on my install of Trisquel 7.

How would I do this?

Thanks in advance.

Compile it from source.

There is no such thing as KDE5. KDE is a community that produces free software. You do not install KDE.

The desktop environment is called "KDE Plasma 5". It is based on libraries in "KDE Frameworks" (as written in the "About KDE" window you show). And there are the "KDE Applications", a coherent set of applications that are based as well on the "KDE Frameworks".

Anyway, I think everybody understood you wanted "KDE Plasma 5".

ok as compiling KDE Plasma 5 seems a difficult task and there are no trisquel packages available yet i will just keep using gnome 3 until new packages are made.

thanks for the help.

You could use Parabola, Trisquel flidas, or Debian stretch/sid.

The best way I can think of to drive users away from free software projects is to be obtuse and obnoxious when answering their simple questions.

Oh!
Did i sound obnoxious, obtuse??
Sorry if i did so
certainly was not my intention..

Tomlou the cat has more tricks up the sleeve and is not a newbie ..maybe that explains the ''in appearance'' trivial manner of answering to him..
