IRC Chat user & password

Hi, I'm having trouble with the IRC chat. When I login at the #trisquel chat with my user name (Hein), it says the name is already taken. I should choose a different name or enter my password. When I enter my password (the same as on this site) though, it says the password is wrong. Is my user name supposed to be registered automatically or dies someone else already use the name? And what password am I supposed to enter?
