libre BCM4312 WiFi driver?

hi, i just installed Trisquel in my Dell Mini Inspiron 1012, everything is working fine expect the WiFi card, which is an Broadcom BCM4312, i found openfwwf but it doesn't seem to support BCM4312, is there anyway to get the WiFi card working without non-free drivers? i have posted this as an mailing list, but i don't think it got accepted, probably because I'm not a member, but that's okay.
This wifi adapter does not seem to work without proprietary firmware:

If you are picking a wireless adapter, this is probably the best small one:

And the smaller ones usually are less prone to breakage by knocking into it with your arm or something.
IF not, I know of one that floats around on a certain non-free website. But I doubt anyone will want me to mention its name.
Though the wifi adapter itself is 100% libre. I have a few and they work fine not to mention, they were cheap!
PS, the usb I speak of is a mini white ath9k like usb and its on a website that doesn't sell food.
