Both my laptops have weird noises to them when trying to input through the microphone. By loading the linux module 'echo', I was able to alleviate some of it. I was wondering if anybody has a similar issue. This is on Trisquel 9 on the laptop using the linux-libre kernel version Linux ThinkPad-X230-Tablet 5.15.3-gnu #1.0 SMP Tue Sep 27 12:35:59 EST 1983 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux and the latest kernel for Triskel 10 on the Thinkpad X200 laptop.

Are you using an external microphone?

I had issues with Trisquel 9 my X200 which I guessed were due to the internal microphone being also active while I wanted to use an external one (integrated with USB camera). Also, when using Jitsi on abrowser, I wasn't able to select the microphone I wanted.

I tried get it to see the external microphone with the X200 computer, but I wasn't able to. That computer makes interrupted noises using the program vokoscreen. I wonder if it is because of the outdated libreboot bios from 2015, which I think would be weird.
