I would like to know how to enable multiple desktop's on trisquel? I've looked everywhere.

I like the look of this desktop so I would like to keep it.
If I can't I'll just install gnome3

Super + S or Ctrl + Alt + right key.

Super = Command on Apple keyboard or Windows logo

Wow, what a way to hide this nice feature!
Anyway that worked great thank you.

Also, if you hold Alt (or maybe it's Alt+Super, I'm not sure) and right click on the panel, you can add a workspace switcher, among other things.

In Trisquel 6.0 Toutatis I have noticed that the Gnome panel workspace switcher doesn't really mesh well with compiz. If you know why I'd be happy to know but otherwise, just a heads up.

I guess the multiple workspaces is a feature of the window manager. The Workspace Switcher applet probably is well integrated with Metacity, but not with Compiz.

I remember Compiz has its own multiple workspace configuration, separate from the configuration set from the Workspace Switcher.

Is it a good idea not use compiz? I have a issue with playing 720p on youtube?

It's a matter of preference. I don't use it because I don't value the visual effects it has over Metacity. And it obviously uses more computer resources than Metacity.

I don't know if Compiz causes issues with videos on Youtube. You should test and see. You can temporary disable Compiz from "System Settings" -> "Window manger and effects". Keep in mind there's a bug with disabling Compiz for good: https://trisquel.info/en/issues/7862

How do you add desktop workspaces? Right now I only see that I can have 2.

You can e.g. add the workspace switcher applet to the panel and right click it > prefs.

(alt + right click panel > add)
