Hello my first experience on linux/gnu distro, needing some help :=)
First, cant manage to format to create/format the main partition (working on a 20GB partiotion that i created on windows, 1TB is the hard disk)
"not authorized to perform operation (udisk-error-quark,4)"
asked me for a password protection but i entered all the options I had an none worked, I was using Windows 8 my notebook is a Lenovo G50.(now dont ask for the password an only shows the previous message.
Also the touchpad doesnt work the 2 fingers option for scrolliing, and the keyboard sometimes stops working and I have to press F8 (and it comes again)(probably other function key may also work)
Apreciate your help.
Thanks.
Hi, Welcome,
maybe it's some security feature that's in the BIOS.
I looked for the error message, here's something I found:

Also, how do you know that the keyboard has issues since you didn't format/install Trisquel yet? You mean you tested that from the LiveCD?
How do you partition the disk? With the installer on the Live system?
In the "Mouse & Touchpad" utility (in the "System settings"), there is a box to check for "two finger scroll".
I've installed it via the trisquel dvd, booting from cd on normal installation not live, formated the discs and "created 2 partitions 3 (see the image) hanks for the
Tthanks for the link on the askubuntu as I mentioned completly new on this, I did copy the code on terminal /root
and I get:
Object /org/freedesktop/UDisks2/block_devices/sda1 is not an encrypted device.
What I see is that the OS is in the swap partition and the other 2 partition I've created one for OS (perhaps did it wrong) and other for working
MAgic Banana on the configuration of mouse and touchpad dont see
Given the partitioning schema you show us, I would advise you to simply choose the default one (i.e., choose to take the full disk when the installer proposes you that). 100 GB for swap and 300 GB for the system are far too much. In both case, you do not even 10% of that space.
I have four check-boxes at the bottom of the "Mouse & touchpad" window. I have no idea why I have them and not you. Maybe because I am using GNOME Shell...
sorry... don{t see the 2 fingers option I only see test your configuration,
also cant get the bluetooth, perhaps this is all due to the bad instalation, using triquel Belenos 7.0
Thanks!!
It is quite probable that Linux-libre does not have the necessary driver/firmware for your Bluetooth chipset. Updating the kernel (after you got a clean install) may solve the problem: https://trisquel.info/en/wiki/update-linux-libre-kernel
