Official Trisquel forum in Romanian language

Hello,
A week ago I have tried to reach quidam on IRC (both at #trisquel and in
private) on the following matter, but he was unresponsive. Any
suggestions? Does anybody else have the authority of adding a new forum
alongside to the English, French and Spanish ones? I have just sent this
message using the contact form on the trisquel.info website, too. Thanks.

There is a growing number of Romanian users of Trisquel and other free
distributions, most of them volunteers or collaborators of my
foundation, Ceata.
The biggest Romanian official forum is the Ubuntu Romania forum.
To grow the Romanian community of Trisquel even more, I can volunteer to
maintain an official Trisquel forum in Romanian: Trisquel-utilizatori.

It would be nice if they had a subforum for the Romanian. In Romania Trisquel users are growing very well and could use such a subforum.
Thanks

Rubén has answered me on Aug 26:
"We will be renovating the website as soon as we finish Trisquel 7. That
should simplify the forum and translation maintenance. Right now we
don't plan to make any changes."
I guess until then Ceata's Trisquel mailing list will remain the only
Trisquel discussion group in Romanian.
https://liste.ceata.org/listinfo/ceata-trisquel
However, the mailing list is not an appealing mean of communication for
newcomers and I think I will try to convince Ubuntu Romania to open a
subsection for Trisquel in their popular forum until Trisquel.info opens
up an official forum for the Romanian users.
Thanks for your support, crismblog!

HOWDY From allmighty Sibiu my friend. I am honoured to be here!
I am with you. :) I am from Romania.
Hello.
Have you tried to reach quidam recently?. Also consider hosting a Romanian forum yourself. I have been asking about about VPS providers that abide by the the free software philosophy which you can consider using.
Regards.

No, not yet. He told me to wait for Trisquel 7 release because the
website will change as well. A forum colleague just reminded me about
this request.

My organization (Ceata) has been hosting for 2 years now a Romanian
mailing list dedicated to Trisquel:
http://liste.ceata.org/listinfo/ceata-trisquel. Many discussions related
to Trisquel are on most of our mailing lists, though, since we promote
free distributions and mainly Trisquel in Romania.

Ceata has its own server with several virtual machines, that's not an
issue. But thank you for thinking about this.
We want an *official* Trisquel channel in Romanian since its user base
has been increasing considerably and Ceata is willing to maintain it.

So the team behind the contact form thought that I propose adding a new
site language, but I explained (again) that for now all I propose is a
simple thing, a subforum Trisquel-utilizatori for the Romanian users.
The Romanian community of users is bigger and bigger mostly thanks to
Ceata's activity and Ceata has been hosting a mailing list for support
on Trisquel in Romanian, but it's not official and we don't want to
install any forum software at ceata.org to make it more popular.
At some point after we have the official Trisquel-utilizatori subforum
we can organize the users for translating the trisquel.info website too.
But let's do it bottom-up now and step by step.
For more than a month I have been trying to reach quidam for a decision,
but first he was traveling, then he didn't answer my pings at the
contact e-mail address, nor his colleagues these last two times.
Now it's almost holiday time and I am sure he won't be available then
either. So here I am calling again for help on the public forum to make
this happen before holidays.
Please, if you can reach quidam easier, show him this post and remind
him an answer (and action) is needed.
Thanks,

Sounds like a good idea. Maybe you could try contacting him on IRC? He
seems to be more active there if you can get him at the right time.
Andrew
IRC is gold:
https://trisquel.info/en/forum/trisquel-utilizatori
Please be welcome if you are Romanian speakers or want to learn Romanian helping Trisquel users. :-)
Congratulations!
what about an italian forum?
Don't know. Start a new thread and propose it.
