At least two users of Replicant (including myself) have reported problems with the latest version of DAVdroid breaking their system:

I experienced this -- twice!

First time: I updated DAVdroid on my Galaxy S3, with the latest stable build of Replicant, which I had been using since its release September, and Replicant immediately goes into what appears to be an endless reboot loop.

Second time: I wiped the 'data' and 'cache' partitions and rebooted. Then I installed everything I had on the phone before: AndStatus, Nextcloud, etc. Finally, I tried reinstalling DAVdroid again. Replicant goes into the reboot loop again.

I repeated the procedure of wiping my 'data' partition and reinstalled Nextcloud yet again. And then was careful this time to install DAVdroid 1.9-ose instead of 1.9.1-ose.

I can confirm that downgrading to DAVdroid 1.9-ose seems to solve the problem.

The problem will be fixed in version 1.9.2
