So, I've compiled rt2x00 sources and successfully installed the packages but for some reason, I still can't get my Belkin F5D7050v3 to be found/work on Trisquel. I've installed rt2500, rt2400, rt2570, rt61 and rt73 sources. I have Rutilt installed. Still, nothing. Any ideas?

It may be your card itself. See this list: http://ralink.rapla.net/

Apparently the Belkin F5D7050's chipset varies, so yours may not have a Ralink chip at all (and v3 of that card isn't on the list, either). Use lspci in the terminal and see what you get for a Network controller (if anything).

If the problem is the chipset of your wireless card, you may have to purchase another card. It sounds extreme, but I did it and am happy that I did. If the majority of the GNU/Linux using community protested against the lack of free software drivers for wireless devices by only purchasing the ones that work in fully free systems, every wireless chipset manufacturer would be releasing free drivers by now.

I'm not sure what the problem is, it's work perfectly with gNewSense. I may be doing something wrong since gNewSense just sees the card and knows what to do and, as you said, it may not be a rt2x00 at all. I've installed rt2400, rt2500, rt2570, rt61 and rt73 and try to use RtutilT as the manager. Is there a way for me to just find the packages from gNewSense and port them to Trisquel since they are both Debian based?

Well, then that's very unusual. If it works in gNewSense then it should most certainly work with Trisquel, too. If this is the case, then the problem might be the version of the kernel you're running. Try a couple of older kernels from Ali Gunduz's website and see if it works under any of them:

So I know I get correct results, do I delete the other kernels after installing the new one?
I don't know what the problem is. I'm fairly certain that gNewSense doesn't see it until I have it hard-lined to my router and update the system. But even after having Trisquel hard-lined and updated, it still won't see it.

Yes, it's good to delete old kernels. See http://www.ur1.ca/oqr2

Type ''lspci'' in your terminal and look under Network Controller. That will allow you to confirm which chipset you have. That will also make it easier to help you.

Also, try using wicd instead of gnome-network-manager.

I couldn't find "Network Controller" after typing in "lspci" but I went to "Connections Info" and it said rt73 as the driver.

Here are some screen shots so you know what's going on.
I have yet to try the kernel things yet.

Try ''lsusb'' instead, since this is a USB device. Another way to see all your hardware is with gnome-device-manager, a nice graphical device manager.

Do try it with a couple of other kernel versions, and also try [http://wicd.sourceforge.net/ wicd].
