Seafile-applet error

Hi all! After having upgraded from Trisquel 8.0 to 9.0, I installed seafile-gui from standard repo. But executing the Seafile applet throws an error:

$ seafile-applet
seafile-applet: symbol lookup error: seafile-applet: undefined symbol: seafile_checkout_task_get_type

Any hint on how to resolve this? Thanks in advance.

I've resolved this by first removing seafile client again completely:

$ sudo apt purge seafile-gui
$ sudo apt autoremove

Then I reinstalled like described on the Seafile page for Ubuntu 18.04:
https://help.seafile.com/syncing_client/install_linux_client/

And now the applet works! :)
