Semi off-topic: critical internet freedom issues to protest (sign petition)

If your in the United States I'd highly encourage people to sign the petitions below. If you've paid attention to the news bad things are happening. ISPs are going to be able to charge content providers for faster access to you. These companies already have government instituted monopolies in many areas and duopolies in most others by design. It's unfortunately already started with Netflix caving in to Comcast and now Verizon. If your not one of the major players you'll likely find it impossible to provide competitive streaming services as your customer's ISPs are refusing to deliver the content at the speeds the customers were promised. And it may be even worse than this. I'm unsure, but you might not even be able to access some sites if an ISPs allowed to discriminate. You wanted to get VOiP services from company X? Well, you can't, because your ISPs outright blocking that option. You wanted to use a new peer-to-peer VoIP service? Sorry. Your ISP doesn't like the FSF? No more access to the FSF for you.
Don't let Comcast and AT&T control the future of the Internet, sign/join the protest here:

Also the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) agreement is threatening to censor your Internet1, and remove your democratic rights (amongst other things):
48 hours to Stop the Secrecy, sign/join the protest here:

Thanks, signed both of them :)

Protests and petitions won't get you anywhere.
The solutions are, either (1) to get rid of your government, or - if you're in favour of one - (2) to install a new government.
(The US government and the corporations behind it - that control both major political parties - don't care about you... - http://www.prisonplanet.com/state-senators-response-to-second-amendment-concerns-go-fk-yourself.html)
Protests are usually just a way to let some "steam" off, and keep people from doing other more effective things, that might actually hurt the establishment.
And, if I was a member of the political class, I would treat "petitions" as little different than toilet paper.
If these are the only two ways that you're all planning to "fight" this, I advise you all to seriously consider, either (1) leaving your country, or to (2) get ready for the worse.
(And, there are people who are actually already leaving, in case you haven't noticed... - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5wu8fjNr61Q)

But, don't take the word of an experienced Western activist - and, of someone who already knows (very well) who is he fighting against...
Sign all the petitions you want, and watch the results...
(They're all going strait to a drawer/archive, or computer folder.)
