Software updater

Thinkpad X230, 8GB RAM
Trisquel GNU/Linux
Release 11.0.1, Aramo 64-bit
Kernel Linux 5.15.0-173-generic x86_64
MATE 1.26.0

I like to manually install updates and see what is actually being updated. For the last couple of years the updater won't display the list of changes for each update, where it says 'downloading list of changes', that info screen stays empty.

It would be good to see it working again and to see details of the software changes. How can it be made to display info again ?
