It is just preliminary work, using the armbian kernel and installed by hand, but it is progress!

Do my Linux-libre ARM builds work there?
That is amazing. Does the built in wifi work on Trisquel ? I always figured they went with one that wasn't FOSS friendly.
"Does the built in wifi work on Trisquel?"
No. The information on https://www.pine64.org/pinebook-pro/ says it has Built-in 802.11ac WiFi, and there is no free software for that.
Do you think or know if the WiFi card can be replaced with one which works with a free driver?
Where can we pre-order?
You can order the Pinebook Pro here:
https://pine64.com/product-category/pinebook-pro/?v=0446c16e2e66
It is out of stock at the moment though due to supply issues with components. Also don't forget that Trisquel 10 isn't out yet so you may want to hold off ordering until it is.
I know, I want the one from the picture.
Not sure it is available for international shipping, though.
If the icons aren't lying, then Ruben has abrowser running on the pinebook pro. That's a killer feature for Trisquel. I doubt that any other pinebook distro has anywhere even close to a secure and privacy respecting browser available for it.
When it comes to Abrowser, I don't find much problem for Firefox. If Firefox must be excluded for trademark issue, then that LibreOffice is also a trademark (possessed by Document Foundation). Should we kick LibreOffice out, too?
I was not discussing trademark issues, I am talking about the fact that Firefox has many weak defaults in their privacy and security settings that require adjustment, and in order to get it to run (almost) as safely as abrowser takes extensive modification by the user. Most users never learn how to modify those settings appropriately. Abrowser is simply superior by default.
LibreOffice's trademark policy does no prevent the commercial redistribution of exact copies. That is an issue, affecting Mozilla's trademarks. The mere fact of having a trademark is not an issue.
About Trisquel on ARM: that is great news!
Very beautiful and good news, Ruben!
Sincerely yours,
Malsasa
I have a pinebook pro running manjaro (installed by the former owner). Running Firefox is very laggy. Is there any reason to hope that abrowser on trisquel 10 will be a better experience?
