Check this article out.

Download Tribler here:

This program is freaking awesome! I can't tell you how much of a bane this will be for the RIAA and MPAA. They, of course, will try to attack it SOMEHOW. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Your first link doesn't work.

But I looked up Tribler, and it looks interesting. I'll definitely check it out.

Be serious, by downloading "MPAA or RIAA stuff" is no more helping THEM than
let's say "helping terrorism".
Downloading (free as of p2p technologies) is an intimate act between two or
or more peers, in which the only loss is on the seeders part (electricity and
bandwidth).

If you download MPAA or RIAA stuff you're helping them. Remember, these are
people who [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capitol_v._Thomas sue single
mothers] for million dollars and
[http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/blog/2010/feb/23/opensource-intellectual-property
oppose free software].

Just have nothing to do with them and their products.

Isn't Tribbler very much like aMule, the GNU/Linux version of eMule?

Now, let's not be silly. So, you never watch or listen to the media? Do you realize that the BitTorrent protocol requires one to upload as well as download? Free distribution. You sure you won't talk with your friends about something you saw or heard? Free marketing. Sure you're not going to buy some shit to work on your conscience. Funds for MAFIAA...

And all the while you're missing on free culture which you could enjoy instead, perhaps help an actual artist.

As far as I understand (from Tribler's Wikipedia page), it is based on BitTorrent (unlike aMule), does not rely on any central point (unlike aMule and standard BitTorrent) and it downloads the file in order so that it is actually streamed (unlike any other P2P file sharing system). It indeed looks very interesting.
