Triskel 11.0.1 Live mode: live installer does not recognize wi-fi connection

I installed Triskel 11.01.1 from scratch in Live mode. When I activated wi-fi (qualcomm atheros 2014) from the tray bar, an annoying KDE Wallet window appeared, I closed it and entered the wi-fi password: wi-fi was connected, in fact Abrowser works in Live mode. Then I double-clicked the installer icon, but the installer reports “unable to connect to wi-fi network”; the “continue” button is not active and I am forced to choose the “install without internet connection” menu. Anyway the installation finished normally.
On reboot - with my great surprise - the wi-fi was already configured and there was no sign of the annoying KDE Wallet window. I wonder: why did this problem only occur in Live mode?

We are left guessing.

Exactly which is that? I'm looking for it to be expressed in terms of the chipset. Something like lsusb or lspci should say that.
Qualcomm Atheros AR9485 Wireless Network Adapter (rev 01)
Strange indeed because that's supported by the built-in ath9k kernel module and doesn't even need a firmware to be loaded. No ideas.
