Thoughts? Impressions? Heck if this actually happens, is there a possibility that there could be a "Trisquel for Android" since it is based on Ubuntu?

I doubt the Trisquel project will build upon proprietary software as Ubuntu does. Replicant aims at building a 100% free Android-like OS. It is having great troubles with missing free drivers.

Today, for someone who cannot avoid having a cell phone (and is not "brave" enough to have a FreeRunner), an "Android phone" probably is the freest choice... because most of the OS (i.e., not up to the drivers) can be replaced with CyanogenMod and the software repository can be replaced with F-Droid.

Why not a cheap cellphone?, you can't control your cellphone company anyway, if they spy or something, you won't be able to know it(or control) using what ever you want.

Here's a video for y'all: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gUXUjjg9qQ0

For those people who say to just root the phone and install a custom firmware, it isn't an option for many people as rooting the phone would not only void the warranty, but also could lead to denial of service both in repairs and network access.

You do have to admit this is a cool concept though.
