Video driver for a newbie

Hello, I am Ernesto, new to GNU/Linux and I decided to try it, after several attempts in virtualbox I chose Trisquel because of the concept and it was the fastest to work with.
I don´t know how to install the best drivers for video card(among hundreds of things), I found a command "lspci" and the result for video is:
´00:02:0 VGA compatible controller: Innotek Systemberatung GmbH VirtualBox Graphics Adapter´
Could you help to find out if there is any chance to find the best driver for it?

Recent versions of Virtualbox have freedom issues and have thus been removed from Trisquel. Your favorite search engine should provide you ample assistance if you search for Virtualbox graphics adapter drivers for Linux. You can try Trisquel in freedom-respecting hypervisor software such as QEMU/KVM instead of Virtualbox.
Thanks, that is the kind of help I am maybe needing. I will try that QEMU/KVM, there is a lot information on browsers about all this matter but it is filterless so it is not easy for me to discern which info is more or less serious.

You need Guest Additions to get a better resolution in VB.
VB is non-free. The OP is trying Trisquel as a guest in VB or what? What is the host OS? There must be something I don't get here.
Anyway, one doesn't install drivers inside a guest OS. The VB host provides for the drivers. For that to happen, one needs the Guest Additions.
Why not just try Trisquel live?
yes, it is true I did not post full info. Host is MacOS, guest is Trisquel and I was trying t use it by means of Virtualbox.
Now I am trying to do it by using QEMU, which has taken me to new obstacles I am trying to solve.
I am new to GNU/Linux and I am trying to learn so I think I should do a full installation more than a Live one, maybe this is useful for people with skills who could see how the distro is, but in my case I am zero skilled so I think I should start from a full installation. Anyway I would like to know about your opinion on this

I was completely new to GNU/Linux when I installed Trisquel. There were
a couple of challenges at the beginning, but this community guided me
through them. Since you have a macbook your WiFi card probably wont work
without proprietary firmware, so I'd get a USB dongle[1] first, but
after that go ahead and dive in![2]

Thanks for other replies, I tried GuestAdditions but it does not solve 100% graphic sizing issues. Anyway now I know there is another freedom tagged alternative I will try to do it that way.
I just installed Trisquel on another computer, a HP latop which had Windows7 following useful guidelines from thus web. It is a full installation from booteable USB and it seems to be well done.
Now I can use Trisquel 100% so the teoubles I find are going to be real and not virtual ones.
I will ask for them when I am facing them in other threads, but I will use this one for last question, it does not connect to wifi and I think it is the card not being according to FSF, it is a Marvell one and I saw it is not “free” supported.
Is there any way to make it work? I mean if I will be able to do it or if it is 100 percent impossible.

But don't hold your breath. You will certainly need a USB adapter such as those http://libre.thinkpenguin.com and http://tehnoetic.com sell (both ship worldwide).

so do we (Trisquel users) need to upgrade kernel? Or you are saying that as an alternative to see if I can solve the wifi thing?
About USB adpter, I saw Thinkpenguin is USA based and I am in Spain so the shipping is not easy, I have had bad experiences recently with customs charging randomly absurd amounts, time ago I never had that issues but now it is different and it seems to happen more often. I have not found Thinkpenguin distributors in Europe so I have checked your second choice, tehnoetic. Any customer experiences with them?
You might have luck with TP-LINK TL-WN722N(UN) Ver:1.10 if you can still find one. Later versions probably won't work with libre systems. They (oems) buy cheap chips in bulk and change specifications without notice.

If you buy from libre vendors you don't have to take a risk: they will be guaranteed to work out of the box.
Whenever a piece is hardware is not supported (or badly supported), you can hope that a more recent kernel will solve the problem. It takes a few minutes to try, following the instructions on https://jxself.org/linux-libre/
But, again, I doubt a more recent kernel will support your Wifi chipset. The problem is that the firmware is proprietary and unless the manufacturer decides to to free the firmware or somebody takes a lot of time to reverse-engineer it, the chipset remains unsupported.
I'm afraid there's no way to make it work with free drivers. You can check 'sudo iwconfig' if it's recognized/managed. Network manager has terminal commands 'nmtui' and 'nmcli', they're easy to use. Try 'nmcli device show'.
If not, then check h-node for any additional information -- or give up and buy a libre-compliant USB wifi stick. Some Atheros chips work with the supplied free ath9k_htc firmware.

I tried upgrading to latest kernel with but it didn’t solve it. I even tried an old wifi usb key without success, it is not free supported.
Hello again, I just wanted to let you know I got an USB wifi adapter like the one on the picture loldier posted, a TL-WN722N, it was a casuality someone was selling it next to my home by just 10€ and it worked perfectly, it was a matter of plugging and Trisquel detected it instantly.
Thanks to all of you for helping me with that first obstacle, now I will keep on trying to advance.
