Vivid kernel packages still recommend removed linux-firmware package

I loaded up Trisquel 7 in VirtualBox to toy around with MATE 1.10 and noticed that when installing the linux-generic-lts-vivid package it gave me an error about mismatched linux-image-generic-lts-vivid package. So ended up just trying to install the linux-image-generic-lts-vivid package by itself and it gave me a dependency error about linux-firmware missing.
Wasn't this fixed? If so, why is the latest kernel still have this issue? I have attached screens.
