pci wifi card intel centrino advanced-n 6205 does not work on debian
main. Is there a free software solution
getting the wifi card to work? Thanks.

I would try the linux-modules-iwlwifi-* package associated with your kernel. It's in the Trisquel repositories.

As written on that page, "non-free firmware is required".

My bad. I realized the linux-modules-iwlwifi package is just there and does not have the actual modules.
I do not see the way to edit the post. I guess that's a feature that's been taken away.
