Wifi functionality

Hello forum! I am interested in installing Trisquel on HP Pavilion dv4 laptop, but before I do, I was wondering if wifi functionality is supported for my wireless card. My laptop has an Intel Wifi Link 5100 AGN. I ran the live cd, and everything worked great, but I was unable to enable wireless networking. I did setup my wireless connection which uses SSID and WPA, however, I did not see any indication of a scan for connection to my wireless network.
Unfortunately, most Intel wireless cards require non-free firmware files
to work. These files are, for obvious reasons, not supported by
free-software-only systems like Trisquel. For more information on this
