I'm assigning myself to this so I can break it out into one bug one issue form. Multiple bugs in one report have been well known for decades to become an utterly incomprehensible nightmare in short order.
@mejiko file one bug one issue in future. If you file a GFSD issue please help by adding it to the official tracker on the wiki here

Cacti is now [#10536]
Emboss is now [#10537]
Apparently the emboss bug is fixed in debian and thus will trickle to Trisquel (and gNewSense).
Ditto mathomatic.
Ditto libsnack2.
Ditto sdcc. (this was the last package I looked at)
