I installed snapd via apt-get, from official Trisquel 7 repositories.
Then I did:
$ snap search skype # which is propietary software
Name Version Developer Notes Summary
skype 8.16.0.4 skype classic One Skype for all your devices. New features. New look. All Skype.
spreedme 0.29.5snap1 nextcloud - Spreed.ME audio/video calls and conferences feature for the Nextcloud Snap
$
Did not try to install it, but, obviously, non free software can be very easily installed from snap, so, I think we (you) shoud:
a) Modify snap package to make it point to some other "store" with only free software, or
b) Remove snapd from Trisquel repositories.
