ubuntu-mate-welcome has a lot of problems

  • Ubuntu branding
  • Links and icons for things like Facebook and Twitter
  • Recommends and tries to install proprietary firmware

Considering that this was made specifically with Ubuntu Mate in mind, I think the best solution would be to just remove the package.

Just search for "ubuntu-mate-welcome" in Synaptic.

I wonder where you get access to this app (path please). As of 08 may 2018, I can not find it in my Trisquel 8.0 final.
